#097-365 Feline Friend

Been a while since I posted a shot of Snow, so this is a good excuse, and although I can't really claim she is my friend, I am hers. She is still having trouble with her teeth which on occasions gives her trouble eating. We are making progress establishing a rapport with her and shudder to think what sort of hell she went through in 7 months in a pound or the trauma that caused her to get put there, but I feel it will need a long time yet for her to trust anyone.
Heres Hoping.

She is such a pretty kitty. I'm sure with your TLC and time she will start trusting you. What's wrong with her teeth?

Beautiful shot, Ron. Excellent exposure. White animals are difficult, and you did an outstanding job

Well, you know what they say, cats down have "owners", they have "staff". She surely has just realized that if she's a bit standoffish you'll try all that much harder to win her affections. A wonderful shot of her - she looks very content and the dark area behind her head helps set off her beauty.

Hi Ron, Snow is quite beautiful in all of your shots. I see you mentioned her/his teeth. Well I will tell you a story. I had a white cat nearly identical to Snow. His name was Linen. I got him when he was about 3 years old. I knew nothing of taking care of "cat" teeth. As he got older he had severe problems with his teeth some due to eating only canned cat food. Some he had before he belonged to me. He developed CRF,Chronic Renal Failure. Very sad, incurable. I cared for him for about a month, giving him IVs and trying to force feed him at his worst. He died at age 8. The vet said better care of his teeth may have made a difference and longer life. If Snow needs tooth work, try and accommodate if you can, he/she will live longer. Best of luck.

And what big eyes you have m'dear.
All the better to see you with!
Beautiful big eyes, and stunning photo.
I learned in trying to photograph snow how difficult white is. You did good.
