#151-365 Home is Where the Heart is

For those who have been following the progress of Sally and I, getting to know and foster attachment in our cat Snow. You will be glad to hear that she seems to be taking to us enough that we are feeling confident enough to let her out for some freedom, in a limited capacity - No Nights and only when we are home.

Yesterday Sally had some friends around to farewell one of the group headed for Canada and other Northern Climes (I don't understand that - Family they say) and the chatter of one of them was enough to drive Myself Sally (for a short smoke break) and it appears the cat out of the house. I left to stay in Sally's "Good Books" but noticed that there was no cat in the house, so went out searching. The day before she had investigated to two doors down before Sally
"Rescued" her, so that is the direction I went and eventually (after walking around the block found her in next doors garden - Sunning Herself! She looked comfortable so I left her!

A while later Sally asked after the cat and I smugly said "Next Door's Garden!" so out we went and there she WASN"T - Back around the block only to find her here in our garden where the sun had finally reached, beautifully concealed from most prying eyes but able toperuse her domain. I think our girl finally feels at home, so I guess that is where her heart is now! I am not sure she fully understands that a White cat isn't properly hidden in green bushes though as the noisy Minor Birds were sounding alarms the whole time she was out there.

How funny--but you're probably right. She thought she was hidden in the vegetation.

You're right, it's sign that she knows she has found a good home. A sweet story, Ron...

Clearly your new kitty is at home and well-loved. I think that cats think they are invisible at times.

She is not too good at blending in yet, is she?? Kinda takes after her owner, one of a kind! :)

Isn't funny how animals sit still and think they are invisible? Glad you found her - she's very pretty!!

She looks so content, even if she is sticking out like the proverbial sore thumb. And what's with those marigolds blooming in the early throes of winter - are you sure she's not in your greenhouse?

A sweet story indeed and a very nice shot, that not invisible white among the plants can be tricky I think to not blow out.

Such a beautiful cat and she looks at home there. But the camouflage thing is a bit tricky with white cats, I've noticed, during summer that is. Wee have snow here occasionally...

So glad she's feeling at home after all she's been through! Those Minor Birds were probably warning other birds too keep away or they would just wind up as a pile of feathers.
