#319-365 The Games We Play

Must have walked past this spot a thousand times with out seeing, the humour, the Physical Fitness torture circuit shown in the foreground, (which had just been vacated by someone who didn't want to be photographed) was designed to make us all "trim taut and terrific", but it is mirrored exactly in the background by the Kids play area where the exact same physical exertions take place.
The difference is obvious "No one" has fun in the foreground - It's plain hard work (No pain - No Gain). Everyone has fun in the background, that is what it is all about, two or three kids there have a ball, I have heard the peels of laughter often as I have passed, not when the foreground is in use. Whenever I encounter kids "Playing" on the foreground equipment, and yes they do; they break all the rules because they continue to have fun, as if that was allowed, hey maybe I'm on to something, lets keep all the kids off this stuff until they learn to take it seriously - Just as the Council intended. NOT!

How true! Like the bottom photo treatment--looks like an old postcard.

What a fine juxtaposition- a great story shot. Nan's right your processing does make it look old time.

Hi Ron,
Maybe we as adults need to learn to be kids to enjoy this equipment. It looks like lots of fun! Have a great day!

What a great find - really like the juxtaposition of the two "activity centers." I personally prefer the top photo and the equipment in the background!
