#310-365 Sunday

I just got through looking at Boomers latest Art (HDR) shot and it took me back to a few Sundays ago when A friend invited Sally and I to have breakfast down at the Mud Cafe in Deception Bay. I took a shot while I was there and nice as it looked I thought it might benefit from a bit of tinkering with Jeff Perry's pseudo HDR Effect, and here is the result.

The meal was a treat, Sally (and the others) ordered a Big Breakfast so I ordered Pancakes with Maple Syrup as I know Sally's appertite and I didn't think I could manage one and a half Big Breakfasts, so I had Pancakes (Delicious, scrumptious) and half a Breakfast (Also Delicious, Hearty and Filling) I waddled away sated.

To me this is no longer a photo but a quite intense water colour painting (Something I am totally incapable of producing) and as such a total success. Try it enlarged - There is a lot going on.

The look is almost Carribean, like St. John. Kinda nifty - you're inspiring me to give HDR a try

I'm not a fan of HDR. But, I'd like to comment on this photo, nonetheless. You were moaning just a month or so ago about how we here in the heat of our summer should have pity on you Aussies in the deep of your winter. Hah! I saw how those people were clad when you were at the fair, and how they are dressed here. None of them look bundled up in either of those posts. So, why were you moaning about the winter? This photo looks like they are enjoying a lot of sunshine. And eating outdoors too. You certainly couldn't do that in the majority of the US during the winter. Therefore, when you moan again and ask for sympathy, don't expect any from me! lol

Well it is Official - Iona has just declared herself a WoW Syster along with Tammy, Karen, Julie and all the others, who think my complaints about how severe Queensland (Paradise) Winters can be, As if I (of all people) would exaggerate! All I can say to you in the North is we are over the worse, (just the Westerly Winds to endure) and the it will be Summer for ME! - Suffer LOLROTFHMTT

Ron: Well, in my travels through the blogland of our 365'ers, I have often wondered what it was that set some of the others apart to be called the WoW Sisters by you. I knew it was a lot of good natured fun being poked at each other, but never understood it until now. I think I am honored to be ushered into such good company!! lol Thanks!!

Love these wonderful colors! It does look like a painting, and a masterpiece at that! My favorite is the dog sitting under the table waiting to get fed!
By the way Ron, were you one of the foster homes that took in a gnome?
lol Hope you know what I'm referring to....or you'll think I'm nuts! : D

Ron, you've tapped your inner artist for this one. Very nice. And I've been quietly thinking along the same lines as Iona...this is what passes as winter in your world?! You wouldn't make it through November here in the midwest!
