#177-365 Looking Down

It is starting to get more difficult to fulfill the themes as we get towards the halfway mark. So for this one I had to go back into the archives and I thought this shot taken on Good Friday, of a News helicopter obviously filming the South Passage (The Vessel with all those female sailors manning her) on her way to Gladstone.
It also takes me back to warmer days, now that I am suffering so much here in the frigid throes of winter down under, although it is a bright sunny 74 degrees centigrade today, it was the 44.6 degrees over night that knocks me about, thank heavens for Doonas, not that you in the north basking/sweltering in the rigours of summer, give a thought to my suffering.

Beautiful. The blue sky and the blue water with the bit of red on the helicopter.

Beautiful blues, the red helicopter just pops out of the sky.

I remember your post that weekend. How I envied you being able to have the photo ops you do have living where you live. All that blue water, sail boats, that beautiful city, etc., I have to search for photo ops here. :(
Those of us who live in the U.S., unless we have had reasons to apply ourselves to learn the otherwise, do not know anything but Fahrenheit. Your description of how cold it was/is leaves me cool because I do not know how to decipher it.
Now I do know what a donna is. That one popped up easy on a web search. Your weather temps did not pop up easily.
I love to snuggle under my down comforter during the winter.
During the winter, I place one of my summer scenes on my computer desktop. Then during the summer, I use one of my winter scenes. Mind over matter. :D
Hope you do not freeze. Stay warm.

For some reason I am not feeling sad for you! By the way, I am enjoying my 89 degree weather today....

Wonderful image of looking down - I agree, the themes are getting harder and harder..

I love a good sailing photo. This is a happy reminder of warmer days when you were whining about the heat. Now it is my turn to whine about the heat. It has been hot, hot, hot!

Ron, that's a beautiful shot! Those blue waters make me want to jump in and cool off from the heat here. I had to cut my biking time short yesterday because it was just too hot outside.

Reminiscing about the warm weather again - stay bundled up so you don't catch a chill! Nice colors you captured back there in those balmy warm days.

I do think of poor you suffering so much with your winter weather!! Great water/sky shot.

Thanks again for your advice about my computer. Please tell Sally that I did listen to you this time!! We added a 500GB internal hard drive which should hold us for a while. Bob just switched to digital after over 40 years of being a purist and using anly film. So we really need the extra space now.
