#194-365 Nails

I saw Karen (Alibony's) great "Nails" post shot with Lucky Horseshoes and thought how am I gonna top that, well here it is - Now before you start yelling and shouting and calling for the Stewards to make a ruling, give a bloke a chance to explain.

True there aren't many nails visible at first glance, all you can see is sky, water, rocks and oh yeah a Pelican (or two) well "there's the rub", as the Bard once said, to my untrained eye (Not being an aviator) it appears to me that the Pelican centre stage (another allusion to Shakespeare) has NAILED the landing. And "The defence rests your honour!".

Sorry, laddie. It's not gonna "fly".
LOL.

Nailed the landing and you nailed one fine theme stretch! Pelicans are so unlikely looking to me, I like this shot a lot.

Hmmmm....quite a stretch (but a good one)! She definitely NAILED that landing (and you notice how I said SHE)! :)

That may be a stretch, but as far as I am concerned, it will stretch. I've stretched one a time or two as well. Like the shot. The sun on the water is great. Also like the rocks as the back drop. Good shot.

Har-de-har-har-har!
Well, it's a stretch all right, but it works...

It's all about the stretch, isn't it.
Good timing!

This challenge is all about interpretation and creativity, and you're spot on with both in this photo. GREAT shot & idea!

That's one of the Pelican's that Tammy and I trained - of course she nailed her landing - you expected something less? I like how you captured the shot just as she's coming in. Good one!

Just when I'm wondering how to fill the missing days using the photos I have with the themes available and I come upon this post! I think I may have just nailed a few more posts thanks to your inspiration!

Clever - I have missed your musings and creative spin on the themes!

That's just wrong. Stretches shouldn't be allowed. Julie spent a lot of time on these themes. And you have fifty free ones. You won't catch me doing this type of chicanery.

And besides, the phase is "nailed the dismount" as in gymnastics. You know with your arms spread, head high, and legs straight. Just like this pelican.

Alas, the key is to hold it it for a couple of seconds. And you just know that that didn't happen here.

Nice shot though.
