#364-365 Works of Art

There are a million things that merit this Theme Title, but in so far as I travelled into Brisbane expressly to see it and it rewarded my donation with some shots that I have found most pleasing, and it is a "Peace" tribute carved to celebrate and promote Peace, what could be more fitting.

In so far as I try to give a bit of a twist to things, I thought it most apt that this statue was (For the first week of it's visit to Brisbane) positioned directly opposite and facing the "Conrad Treasury Casino" the grand outer shell of which has preserved a magnificent building, by giving it a second life as a den of iniquity (So To Speak). Both it's past and present function involved large amounts of other peoples money, and I wondered as he sat there if Buddha was able to devise a system to get his share.

Neat image, Ron. I like how your buddha is framed between the buildings and all the angles in the background contrast nicely with the curves of the statue.

LOL, it looks like the budha has his thinking cap on though! What a spectacular piece for Peace! :)

Your framing is really well done, and the color is so nicely balanced. I love wondering what would Buddha do...
