#292-365 Snow or Ice
In spite of all the efforts of the WoW conglomerate, a Miracle has Occurred - Snow in Redcliffe!
This is Snow a seven year old cat, who had resided at the local RSPCA since August last Year. She came to live with us yesterday after sally saw her photo in the Local Newspaper, saying how much she needed a home.
Sally went to dancing practice yesterday morning, and when she came home she "Stated Emphatically" "I'm going down to get that cat!" Here you see the result, a somewhat confused Lady still a tad unsure of what was happening, but who through the night has appeared to be feeling more and more at home. The amount of touching she seems to need and gives tells me that the seven months in a cage were too much for her. The WoW brethren (can you say that about women) put temptation in Sally's way, in the form of the cutest of small kittens that was so affectionate and looking for a home that it even brought toys for sally to play with, but we had discussed this and a kitten will get adopted a lot quicker than an elderly cat, so Snow now lives with us.
Tammy, Karen note her colour it means two things, firstly; white is the sign of Goodness and Niceness (my Side) so unless she turns black I know she isn;t with your Cabel, and secondly, if I post a pure white photo and claim that it is my cat in a snow storm beside a whitewashed barn, I don't want to hear any dissention from you lot. I hope you have enjoyed meeting Snow, We did!

I enjoyed meeting Snow - I think both she and Sally are now your better half! :) What a beautiful cat, it won't be long and she will be ruling the house, the true Queen she is!
Congratulations on the new addition to your family. She is a beauty!
Well, congratulations on the new family member, Ron! Do I understand correctly that "Snow" is female kitty? You are, yet again, out numbered.
You and Sally are good to give dear "Snow" a home!
So sweet. I too adopted an older cat, my black Jazz, thinking that the kitten I was considering would surely get adopted more easily. I haven't regretted it a moment. After Jazz hid under the couch the first 2 days, she has become the friendliest creature I have ever known. She too was in a cage many months, healing from being outside for several months in last winter's harsh cold. Aside from a frostbitten ear, she seems to have only developed a heart that needs a lot of loving.
Snow is a lucky kitty to get a new home! I'll look forward to seeing more pics of her in your future posts. :-)
You two are the best! Congratulations on your new family member. After losing my 20-year-old cat in November, the house feels very empty. But the DH is allergic, so we won't get another. I'll just enjoy cats vicariously through all the other cat-friendly bloggers.
Beautiful cat, congratulations to the new member of the family.
Too great Ron. I wondered what you would do with this theme.
Congratulations on your new family member! Snow is the cutest and you will surely get much pleasure from her. Sally did a very good choice, or perhaps it was Snow who picked her?
Of course, I have a black cat, she was two and a half years when I adopted her. Now she is on her fourteenth. Does not all WoW Sisters have a black cat?
And Ron, a cat is a cat is a cat regardless of color. ;)
Awww, now you have gone and done it...our 16-year-old Siamese crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday....Tears all around. Thank you for caring for another lost one. Snow is the very name for this one.
I love cats. Just not in the house, as I am allergic to so many things. This is truly a "marriage" made in heaven for y'all to be together as loving as you are and the cat is so needy in that department. Beautiful cat. Give her a pat and tummy rub for me.
This is a great story, Ron. Thanks for giving an older cat a chance. She looks very content now.
Good job finding snow in OZ :-) and a pretty version to boot.
Lovely...perhaps she'll share some of her stories with you! She's a lucky kitty. Congrats to all of you.
Beautiful cat! As her eyes are yellow, rather than blue, I assume she can hear??? Blue eyed whites are sometimes deaf, and although yellow or green eyed ones can be too, it's pretty rare.
I commend you for choosing an older cat. (I prefer adult cats, myself. I'd like to know why, every time I rescue one, it turns out to be a pregnant female?? I went out of cat breeding--Siamese and Oriental Shorthairs--in part, so I wouldn't have any more kittens!)
Esther, sorry for your loss. At least, you know someone will be waiting for you when you cross. Be happy your Siamese was well loved.
Hi!
She's a beautiful cat!! She sure has a better and nicer home now.
As for your comment you made at my place, I am not 21, I am 56 years young. So having a 30 year old clock is possible. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!!
Sherrie
What a wonderful person Sally is!
7 months in a cage is unbelievable. I love this shot...It shows Snow in all her glory in your beautiful frame...Beautiful!
What a lucky cat! Was Snow her name already, or did you name her that so you would be able to use her for this theme? :-)
The lengths we go to for this challenge - PicturePeanut has a baby just to be able to post to the "boy" catagory, Ron adopts a cat and names it Snow so he can satisfy this theme... Very sweet and as has been pointed out, WoW is luring you into a false sense of security - she may be a white cat but you're outnumbered by the females now! I look forward to more photos and I'm glad you've already covered the Polka Dot theme so you won't be painting on spots. (let's hope we won't see her looking like a Zebra one day for a Stripes theme....)
She's beautiful...and will fit right in to her new home wonderfully! You both are lucky to have each other...
Wow, what beautiful Snow. Congratulations on your new addition.
Really beautiful cat! Should I get some Tennessee moonshine to celebrate!!
Good on you both and you are sure to be re-payed. Looking forward to seeing how many themes she can get into.
Commendable to adopt a shelter cat, she will love you. Thanks for sharing!
Ron, Snow is beautiful and the name is perfect for her. We older gals need love too so thanks to you and Sally for giving it to Snow.
Congrats on the new member of the family. Many years ago we had a white angora named Snowy. Great take for this theme.
That is such a sweet story COngratulations on your new addition! I adopted a 14 month old dog because I thought he would be calmer for my boys WRONG! lol
