#156-365 Imported

Talk about the Global Village, look what I found just on the outskirts of Brisbane Chana Town in Fortitude Valley. Any visiting Americans are bound to feel right at home in the Mustang Bar, look at the lolly water they sell to drink! In Queensland we drink XXXX (That's how we spell Beer) and Bundaberg Rum, but all I can see advertised is some suds called Budweiser or some such and something saying Jack Lives Here (Whatever that might mean).

I mean to say that ain't Aussie, we don't have Mustangs, we have Brumbies which are pretty mean from living wild in the outback, mustang sounds like a Rocking Horse or something, so I Guess that it would be a queit place to drink unlike the Blood Bath "Gillhooleys Irish Hotel" just around the corner. So feel free to come across to Brisbane we are bound to make you feel at home, and might just not make you eat Vegemite, although it's good for you.

Hmmm .... sounds like an anti-american rant to me! Luckily, it's also amusing!

Maybe this bar was named after the Ford not the horse. Of course that would be imported too.

But if you don't like the beer maybe you could work out a bad beer trade, you send them back their Bud and they'll send back your Fosters.

Reminds me of when I went to London and we visited a restaurant called "The Great American Disaster" - hot dogs, hamburgers, fries and corn on the cob washed down with a milkshake. Nice capture for the Imported theme!
