Report from Paradise

For all those in the Northern Hemisphere who I have been teasing a little about the mildness of our winter as compared to the ferocity of the one you just got over, I have posted a shot taken from the Weather Channel (Foxtel) (Cable) which shows that our snowfields are a going concern (Fairly early I might add) and temperatures hit a crushing -3 degree celsius(or +26.6 degree farenheit).

Please note the temperatures noted for Darwin, This is a very diverse place with so much to offer, I choose to live in Brisbane because it is about the most moderate of climates while still possessing most of the amenities that, a city born urbanite desires. If money was no object however you would never get me out of the Northern Territory, but it cost big bucks to live in a wilderness environment while still enjoying the comforts THIS CREATURE demands.

Further explanation, on my grunge post, sorry if the wording, was confusing, as there was no (I repeat NO) sewerage in that canal, merely run off from the roads and peoples gardens, scungy not toxicand when you consider that it is sluiced out by sea water twice a day, quite healthy really. Lots of wading birds make a good living fishing the rising and falling waters for fish fleeing larger fish out at sea. Hope you don't mind this feebie.

Ron, in northern Illinois (and many other snowy US states), the weather reporters are often bundled up in parkas, shivering out in the TV station parking lots, as they forecast the weather. Your guy, in shirtsleeves, doesn't appear to be working hard enough... :-D

Looks like a typical winter weather channel...snow, snow, and more snow. Luckily, our snow areas are a few hours away, up the Sierra foothills. Rarely in the valley.

I'm with Val - can't be too tough a job. But they have to have someplace to send weather forecasters who can't cut it in northern Illinois or Ontario. ;-)

Here there's a reporter who has been nick-named Parka Boy since he seem to get stuck with extreme weather. I like living where snow mostly stays in the mountains where it belongs.

Ah but how do we know this isn't just more of your showing off your mastery of photoshop, replacing the beach sand with snow that you lifted from another shot. Good to know you have somewhere you can go in about 6 months if you're dreaming of a White Christmas!
