#206-365 Occupation
This is a reed barrier on a local storm waterway, it is an excellent way of assuring that the water that flows into Moreton Bay is as clean as possible after the rain has washed our streets.
The set up is ideal for wildlife too, small fish, yabbies and a heap of other aquatic life provide living for the abundant water fowl that are always there plying their trade, in a variety of forms.
This Heron was only partly aware of my advances on him (To get a better shot) and just maintained his distance while securing a hearty meal as we advanced down opposite sides of the pond. The three side shots show him stalking, lining up then striking, his occupation - Filling His Belly - No Less.

Love it! Nice composition, colors, subject matter, ducks (?) and your Heron. Beautiful peaceful setting.
Been intending on asking you about your banner "ball" with the bee inside. Once before, you gave instructions on how to do it. But, alas, it died with my old computer. Would you, could you, repeat it again? Thanks for your consideration.
Hi Ron,
Great shot! Glad to hear the Heron got his dinner. Looks really quiet and peaceful! Have a great day!

This is a wonderful shot. Nice and peaceful. Great shot
What a beautiful setting! Love that blue water with all those reflections. Good catch on the heron, he/she is so majestic. Awesome shot!
Love the colors and composition, such a beautiful place. Nice occupation too.
Lovely location and you've done it justice with your shot, Ron. But what is a "yabbie?"
The blue water is beautiful and, of course, love the birds.
I love these kinds of protected areas - so many opportunities for great shots!
I like the reflections you've captured here!
Great composition and color. The pic insets tell more of the story.
