#100-365 Fire or Flame

This is the Finale to the Brisbane Riverfire Festival. Again the numbering provides the sequence of shots but possibly some are missing between. The last two though are sequential and involved an instantaneous click to captur bot the Entry and Exits of the two RAAF F111s doing what is referred to as a "Dump and Burn" (self explanatory) and this is likely the last time that this will be seen in Brisbane as the Aircraft are being phased out of service with the RAAF after more than 40 years of service, and their replacements will not have this capacity. A friend I met on Mount Cootha told me he was on the river last year and being closer the effect seemed greater but that because of a lack of wind that year it took hours for the smoke to dissipate from the CBD. Next year there will be Fireworks and Fly Pasts but no Dump and Burn. Hope you have enjoyed these shots and the few more themes to come that I have been able to squeeze out of my little shoot session.

I think these firework shots are some of your best to date, I am impressed (even w/out a broomstick)!

Stunning! I especially like 3, 4 and 6. I bet it was really something to see it in person.
