#363-365 Winter

Okay now it is time for you to have your pay-back on ME (Not that I deserve it mind) Today is the official start of winter down here in Paradise, and knowing how much you suffered during your winter, I felt it fitting to rush out and get a photo near midday so I could show you just how hard it is down here.

The temperature was a freezing 22 degrees Celcius (almost 76 fahrenheit) but with a wind of around 5 kilometres an hour (3 MPH) that would have dragged it down to around 21 degrees C. As you can see the clouds are quite threatening on the horizon, so I am sure you are all feeling sorry for the things you said when I posted those shots of people swimming and sailing and jet sjiing and all that during your winter.

As you can see I had to hurry this shot as there were a crowd of people coming up behind me with their kids all laughing and playing with their dogs and generally just having a great time, but it was on a Monday and I didn't want you to think that people in Redcliffe even enjoyed Mondays the worst day of the week. You all have a nice (short Summer and don't worry about me freezing down here in these inhuman temperatures, it will soon be winter again for you.

P.S. Don't get too worried the cloud cleared and it got a bit warmer later in the day.

What a way to rub it in! I guess I would rather be sitting in 73 degree weather - it was 95 degrees here and humid as heck! Wish it would stay spring and fall all year round! Another beautiful image to rub it all in, Ron!

Um...checking in at 8:30 AM here in spring-time northern Illinois...and it's about 55 degrees F. Something doesn't seem quite right...

I did enjoy your photo, no matter the temps!

Great shot that leads you down the beach. Winter around here in NC gets colder, but not like it does up north!

You poor frozen lad. It's a miracle your frozen fingers can manage the camera!

Bundle up Ron - it looks lovely but it's dangerously cold - don't want to risk frostbite!!!
