#274-365 Selective Focus

Back to the poinsettia, that I posted before, but have been vacillating between this and another for this theme. I opted for this as I am amazed that even Nature can give us examples of selective focus, in so far as my previous post "Beverage of Choice" showed the drops collected in a couple of large dewdrops, here her selectivity has spread the itty bitty little drops as a complete coverage. You can however see that Photography is a case of being in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing. That too is a form of selective focus, of the mind.

All those little drops almost makes the flower look metallic! Cool :o)

Hmmm -- I think the flower is covered in sequins!

Great shot for this theme! All natural too. But...Poinsettias in the summer??? I only ever see them in the winter here. You live in the most remarkable place with the most beautiful creatures!

Starting to sound a little philosophical there. Nonetheless, I do like the image and it really does look metallic.

It's gorgeous. I love all of the tiny droplets. Looks like glitter.

Love the sparkles - what a great shot! Now, the underlying question is - will the flower go with your shoes??

Nice bright color. Like the selective cropping too. Great focus.

I believe Kathy forgot it is suppose to be winter in Australia. :D

This just shimmers in the light and yet all the details remain visible...amazing shot! Also, you've got some beautiful bokeh here as well! AWESOME!

What an amazing shot! The glittery shimmer of the droplets is so cool. We too have these flowers only for Christmas...lucky you to be where you are.
