#076-365 Dirt

This is the Penultimate of my Mount Cootha shots, and had been scheduled for last but has been reassigned bue to recent weather. (More Later) In any event I had just arrived on the Mount and saw the Ducati and Harley bikes (Background) pull up ridden by a pair of clean cut young kids, whom I asked permission of, to photograph their bikes (as you do) they laughed and walked off. As I was setting up for the shot, this bike (A Triumph) ridden by the Archetypical Biker (Not too dirty, but definitely not squeaky clean like the other two) pulled up straight in my line of shot. So I asked him too, the reply also was typical - "Love ya ta Snap my Wheels, but Don't click ME, sport". He stayed and talked a little while and was quite erudite so I assume his look was just a guise, I commented on his originals, which he assured me were original, so I commented that he keeps his bike in far better condition, than he did himself, he laughed said "Yeah, the Ride ALWAYS comes first!" Hence the title Dirt, blow the photo up as much as you like, there isn't any on the bike, made for a much more interesting shot.

Rescheduling, Yesterday we had a pretty big dust storm on the Central Eastern Australia Coast, when high winds Dragged thousands of tonnes of soil out of the Dry Centre of Australia and Unceremoniously dumped it in the Tasman and Coral seas. Hence my next post which shows a few unique shots I took to record the event (In My own inimitable way)

Judging from the looks of these bikes I think I would listen to the bikers riding them - good thing you didn't take their pics LOL For once, your listened! :)

You always have such great stories to go along with your photos. I really love this bike shot- bikes are cool- each one has it's own "personality"

My brother and his wife have bikes and the bikes are kept pristine - don't ask about anything else!!!

Nice wheels. And not a speck of dirt, as you said. Good shot with the light, colors and composition. Out of my 6 children, 4 have Harley's and one has a different kind of bike - perhaps Yahama? And they keep them spit and clean like this one.
