Six Seasons of Kakadu

This stone is located outside the Warradjan Cultural Centre, in which photography is forbidden as it contravenes a lot of Cultural mores. This rock is open for all and is so interesting in that it shows and describes each of the weather stages that occur up in this area but also goes on to show how the names themselves depict the movement of the group and how they follow a logical progression from one food source to the next. I tried hard to get the wording in but it is a bit hard to see, so log on to kakadu.com.au and there is a well drawn replica available there for you to get more info from.

What a cool way to display the weather, my husband would love this - he is a huge weather buff....one of those outside in a tornado looking for it - gotta love him!
